Supporting local communities |

Dear all residents,
This is a short update on how we supported our local communities this week! I hope everyone is okay. I would like to share what my colleague and I have been up to. It has certainly been a very busy and interactive week.
This week's first police surgery was conducted at St Albans Community Association (St Albans Road, Smethwick, West Midlands, B67 7NL), were we had the chance to interact with the community, listen everyone's concerns and worries, and provide reassurance. It is our main priority to provide the best service to the public and we are here to support all of you in the best of our abilities. We want to develop a deeper understanding of local concerns and issues. We would like to encourage everyone to share their concerns and worries they might have with the police.
Next stop was Smethwick High Street Library, where we conducted our police surgery and we had the opportunity to engage with members of the public. During the police engagement we delivered an input on safeguarding. I would like to remind everyone of our next police drop ins at Smethwick High Street Library. Friday, 23rd January 2026 at 10:00 AM Monday, 2nd February 2026 at 10:00 AM Friday, 20th February 2026 at 10:00 AM Everyone is welcomed to join and we will be a great opportunity to have a chat with the officers and share any feedback or concern you might have (and grab few of our freebies. How exciting!!! We look forward to see everyone).
Last stop was at the Brasshouse Community Centre (Brasshouse Lane, B66 1BA), where we conducted our Cuppa with the copper. Cuppa with the copper is a relaxed environment, where we discuss over a cup of tea all your concerns, issues and any updates you might want to discuss with us. Cuppa with the copper it is a safe environment and everyone can join. Throughout our discussions we can provide advice to you or support should you needed alongside with our partnership agencies. We would like to encourage you to join us on our next session at the Brasshouse Community Centre: Wednesday, 18th March 2026 at 10:00 AM
Providing the best service to the public it is and will always be one of our main priorities.
Thank you kindly for your support and help to keep our communities safe.
Kindest regards
